awesome work Geng. I think your painting is improving a lot! I like how he is sitting with his box of office supplies, I think that's a great idea and says a lot about his backstory without having to say it.
I think you might be overcomplicating the paintings a little bit. Continue with these two, because I think they are cool, but for the third painting I think you could get away with a lot more flat shapes and textures. look at the reference artists I posted earlier in the week.
